There’s a joke in the office that we should never order products that I think will sell well. They most likely won’t. The Mission candle warmer is one such example. It was launched together with the Scroll candle warmer in 2013 and I was certain that it will outsell all other candle warmers. Boy, was I wrong. It didn’t sell well at all and we stopped ordering after the first shipment. Scroll went on to become our bestselling candle warmer (I was also certain that Scroll will not sell well).
Recently, when my colleagues were preparing the launch of the Carriage candle warmer,
I Mission was given another chance. They decided to reintroduce Mission. I’m rooting secretly for it.
